A Special 4-H Video Opportunity

Do you have an awesome 4-H project or animal you’re proud of? Now’s your chance to showcase it in a fun and unique way by appearing in a Granpa Cratchet video! Whether it’s a craft, a science project, or something totally unique, you’ll get to step in front of the camera and share it with Granpa — and the world!

This opportunity is open to kids in 4-H who want to:

  • Present your 4-H project or animal on camera with Granpa Cratchet
  • Learn how a video set works (lights, cameras, action!)
  • Help create a skit, segment, or fun moment for YouTube
  • See how editing and storytelling bring it all together
  • Get a behind-the-scenes look at Granpa Cratchet’s imaginative world
  • Share your final video with friends, family, and your 4-H club

Watch for an email from Granpa's team.

Step Three

Once approved, sign the release form and pick a date.

Come to Studio A for your debut with Granpa Cratchet!

Frequently Asked Questions.

Any child  who loves fun, creativity, and learning! While we focus on homeschoolers and 4H clubs, any child that wants to learn and have fun is welcome to apply!

Kids will get to meet Granpa, learn about video production, and even appear on camera! 4H kids will get to present their project or animal and tell Granpa (and everyone else) all about it!  It might include jokes, crafts, or helping with a skit — all in a safe, supervised environment.

All videos are filmed at Studio A, near Kokomo, IN — the home of Granpa Cratchet’s Clubhouse! Directions and details are shared once you’re accepted.

Just click the big red button on the page and fill out the application with a parent. If selected, you’ll receive instructions to sign a release form and choose a taping date.

Absolutely! Parents are welcome to stay and watch the fun unfold. Just no pizza unless you’re planning to share. 😉

Each taping session lasts about 30–60 minutes depending on the role and number of kids in the segment.

Yes! Once edited, the video will be featured on Granpa Cratchet’s YouTube channel and possibly highlighted on our social media. A release form is required for each kid who participates. 

Nope! Being part of Granpa’s Clubhouse is 100% free! Although, Granpa may panhandle for gas money.

Yes! We love having groups — it’s especially perfect for 4-H clubs or homeschool co-ops. Just make sure each child has an individual signed release form. We’ll coordinate a special group taping time so everyone can join in on the fun together!
